Tell us something surprising about you. I just started my own media company this year. I am extremely excited to launch @Mercier media.
What inspires you? Motivation. Motivated people inspire me. Someone that the odds are against them and still they succeed.
What would you consider to be your biggest challenge as a model so far? Honestly not being overly self-critical. It is easy to do in a career where the spotlight is always on you.
Describe yourself in three words. Honest, sensitive, loving.
Do you feel you are more of a city person or a country person? I’m both. My roots are in the country, and I love being in the country, but the city has my heart.
A guilty pleasure? Shopping and red velvet cake.
What is your mantra? Live in the present. It can be hard to do these days, but I am realizing lately how important it is.
Why did you choose to pursue a career in modeling? I wanted to travel and see the world. I wanted a chance to create something and explore my creative abilities.
Do you have a secret talent? Yes, multitasking is my talent, and I am particularly good at it. Not a fun talent but it is an especially useful talent.
Describe a perfect day off when you are not modeling. Cooking breakfast, lounging around then doing something with my dogs followed by a nice lunch or dinner on a patio somewhere then a movie night.
What was it like starting out as a model? A little scary to be honest. It’s intimidating because you wonder if you’re going to be let down so you must put your fears aside and just go for it.
Any last words for our readers? I would like to thank my fans and followers. Without them, I would not be here. I feel truly fortunate and blessed.
