Hi guys, my name is Lydia Bielen and I am 20 years old. I am originally from Georgia, USA but have lived in several cities around the world including LA, Miami, Sydney, and currently NYC.
I am super passionate about writing. I’m currently working on my first novel which is based on a true story. I am also publishing a poetry book which is a collection of free-form poetry I’ve written over the past few years, and a screenplay that I plan to enter in major film festivals by next year. It is based in LA and NYC.
I love to stay active and do things to keep me in my best shape. I also like to do daily meditations to keep my mind balanced. I love music festivals, philosophy books, romance books, painting, drawing, travelling, exploring spirituality, and nature.
Tell us something interesting about yourself people would not ordinarily know about you? Something that a lot of people don’t know about me is that I read tarot cards. I started doing readings about a year ago after practising on myself and with another card reader I met in California. My querents have always been surprised with the insightfulness of my readings.
If you weren’t a model, what would you be? If I wasn’t a model, I would be an Ayurvedic practitioner and open my own Ayurvedic Apothecary. Actually, I have plans to do both in the future!
Who is your celeb crush? Robert Pattinson. I was obsessed with Twilight when I was younger, haha…
What is the one thing about yourself that you wish more people knew? I’m writing a novel based on a true story about my life. It’s about being a “reckless” teenager, falling in love, losing my first love to suicide, finding and meeting my dad for the first time, asking why, wanting more, and ayahuasca.
What does your typical day look like? Lately, I’ve been quarantined, so my typical day at home consists of working out, meditating, reading, working on my novel, and watching a lot of Netflix!
When you are not busy modelling, what is your favourite thing to do? When I am not busy modelling, my favourite thing to do is travel! I’ve been fortunate to travel to more than 30 countries now and have plans to visit more this year! My favourite was my trip to the Amazon Rainforest, which has been a big inspiration for my novel!
Which three words best describe you? Creative, driven, adventurous.
Were you excited to shoot this feature? Yes! I love being able to get creative and style photoshoots.
Do you have anyone special in your life and could you tell us a bit more? Yes! I’m in a relationship with a great guy! We actually just went to Nepal a few months ago to visit his mom, and learn about spirituality and meditation together!
Where to from here and what are your plans for the future? I have a lot of exciting plans for the future of my modelling career and also my writing career. Aside from that, I hope to launch my first business very soon.
